My Story

Konan is a veteran in the radio business. He started doing radio in Washington, D.C. at WOL-1450 AM. He had the only Hip-Hop and Go-Go Radio Show in Washington until 1990. he then went on to host his own television show for three seasons, which stayed at #2 in its 7pm time slot.

Konan has been able to maintain #1 ratings in every time slot that he has been in at 92Q WERQ in Baltimore since he has rejoined Radio One Inc.  When V103 was the major competition and station of choice in Baltimore, Konan remained #1 in his 7pm to 12 midnight time slot with the 18-34 year olds, 25-54 year olds and the 12 plus.  When Konan moved to the "Afternoon Drive" (2pm-6pm), as well as the "Morning Show" (6am-10am), he maintained the rank of #1.  Konan continues to win with or without competition.

Konan is definitely a hard worker who strives to make a difference in peoples lives.  He loves to communicate and interact with people and will do anything for kids.  Konan states, "My joy is making people smile and seeing them trying to help make a change."  Konan is a team player who will do whatever it takes to win or help out the team.  He quotes, "Team-work is everybody working together to reach one goal!  Plan your work and work your plan."
